​Summit of Light, an all-volunteer ministry serving Christian clergy, was founded in 1999.  Our volunteer numbers have fluctuated over time but since 2017, Minister Lyons and Minister Bethea have been the ministry's primary co-laborers.​

We pray and now on a limited basis, sometimes sponsor mini sabbaticals for those actively serving small to medium-sized congregations or ministries.

We provide intercessory prayer cover to pastors and ministers affiliated with Fostering Leadership and Ministry Excellence (FLAME).  Additionally, we give monthly donations to and pray for the leaders and ministry teams of:  En Gedi Retreat in Colorado; One Cry Prayer (formerly Harvest Prayer Ministries), a national and international ministry headquartered in Indiana; and Friend Ships Unlimited, a global humanitarian aid and disaster relief ministry headquartered in Louisiana.

Summit of Light comes under the spiritual covering of Bishop Dwight S. Riddick, Sr., the presiding prelate of FLAME, and senior pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Newport News, Virginia.
